Connections & Setup
The Buttons on the Remote Control
Your backlit remote has a light button ( ) that glows in the dark. Press this
button to light the channel up and channel down (CH +/–) and volume up and
down (VOL </>) buttons. If you don’t press any buttons for several seconds, the
light turns off to conserve battery power.
0-9 (Number buttons) In TV mode, used for direct channel access or entries
to TV’s menu system. The TV automatically tunes to the channel when you
enter one, two-digits or three-digits. In DVD mode, used for entries in DVD’s
menu system. If an audio disc is playing, you can directly access a specific track.
A-B REPEAT In DVD mode, when playing a disc, press A•B REPEAT to repeat
material between two selected points.
Arrow buttons (up, down, left, right) Press the arrow buttons to move
through the on-screen menu systems.
ANGLE In DVD mode, press ANGLE to change angles of a movie during
playback.
AUDIO In TV mode, press AUDIO to switch between SEL.MONO,
SEL.MONO+SAP, SEL.STEREO, or SEL.SAP option. These audio options are only
available if the signal is being broadcast. In DVD mode, press AUDIO
repeatedly to change the language when you play a multilingual disc.
CANCEL In TV or DVD mode, cancels a menu setting to its original state.
CALL In TV or DVD mode, displays the current on-screen displays.
CH+/CH- (up and down) buttons In TV mode, scans up or down through
the current channel list. Press once to change the channel up or down; press
and hold to continue changing channels. In DVD mode during disc playback,
advances through the disc chapters or tracks.
DISC MENU In DVD mode, displays the disc’s menu if available.
DVD➛TV Switches between DVD and TV modes.
ENTER In TV or DVD mode, selects the menu item that is highlighted.
FORWARD (
) In DVD mode, advances the disc forward.
GO BACK In TV mode, returns you to the previous channel.
INPUT In TV mode, press INPUT to toggle through the available Video Input
channels: LINE1 (rear jacks), LINE2 (front jacks) and the current channel.
L.E.D. (light-emitting diode) The little light on the remote lights when you press
a valid button.
MARKER In DVD mode, lets you select points on the disc that you might want
to watch or listen to again (sometimes referred to as bookmarks).
MUTE In TV or DVD mode, lowers the volume to its minimum level (
MUTING
appears).Press again to restore volume.
ON•OFF Turns the TV/DVD on and off in either TV or DVD mode.
OPEN•CLOSE ( ) In DVD mode, press OPEN•CLOSE to open and close the
DVD tray that holds the discs. In TV mode, switches the unit to DVD mode and
opens the tray. Press again to close the tray.
