Connections & Setup
14 Chapter 1
Add or Delete Channels
You might want to add or delete some channels if they’re inactive, have weak
signals, or you don’t want them in your channel list. The channel list is the list
of channels that the TV/VCR tunes to when you press the channel up and/or
channel down buttons.
Note: Even if you delete a channel, you can still tune to it by pressing the number
buttons (direct entry) on the remote control.
1. Select the channel to be deleted or added by using the number buttons or
channel up or down buttons.
2. Press the SETUP•MENU button (the TV’s menu appears).
3. Press the left or right arrow button until the
(antenna) icon is
highlighted.
4. Press the up or down arrow to highlight ADD/DELETE.
5. Press the left or right arrow to select DELETE or ADD.
6 Press SETUP•MENU twice to clear the menu from the screen.
7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for each channel you want to add or delete.
Set DVD’s Menu Language
The DVD menu language is set to English. If you want the DVD’s menu system
to appear in Spanish (Espanol) or French (Francais), follow these steps:
1. Press the DVD➛TV button to switch the unit to the DVD mode.
Note: Reading appears on the screen and changes to No Disc. If a DVD disc has
already been loaded, playback starts automatically.
2. Press the SETUP•MENU to display the DVD menu.
3. Use the right arrow to select Other.
4. Press the down arrow to select OSD Language.
5. Press the right arrow, then the up/down arrow to select the desired
language.
6. Press ENTER and SETUP•MENU to remove the menu from the screen.
Note: If you press SETUP•MENU while playback of a DVD disc, the TV’s menu
appears on the screen.
