18.1 GPS mode
In the GPS mode the Navigator 250 holds a set position (x, y,and z-axis). The GPS
functioncontrolsandmakesadjustmentstoallthreeaxes.
1. Activate the Basic mode.
2. Lift the Navigator 250 up to the desired altitude and position it. Move the throttle
towards its centre position.
3. ActivatetheGPSmodeonyourtransmitter.
4. TheNavigator250nowholdshorizontalpositionandaltitude.
5. Correct the position as desired.
6. ChangeightmodestodeactivatetheGPSmode.
TheGPSsignal strength isindicatedbythe rear LEDs. Dependingonthe GPS signal
strengththesolidLEDisinterruptedbydistinctblinkpatterns,whicharesummarizedin
»Fig.12.Thelowertheblinkingfrequency,thebettertheGPSsignal.

18.2 Basic mode

The basic mode is designed specically for users who are new to ying multirotor
systemsandthosewholookforintuitivecontrolsforaerialphotography.
■
Thecontrolsrespondlessaggressively.Thisbehaviourisintentional,allowingpilotsto
getarstfeelingofhowtheNavigator250respondstoleverinput.
■
Auto-Levellingisenabled.Itmeansthatifthepilotletsgooftheaileronandelevator
controlstick,theNavigator250regainsarelativehorizontallevelposition.Smalldrifts
inanydirectionarenormal,especiallyduringnotfullycalmconditions.
■
WerecommendthismodewhenyouintendtouseacameraorFPVequipment.Motor
power is restricted for smoother operation and less aggressive behaviour, which is
benecialtoscenerycapture.
18.3 Expert mode
TheExpertmodeunleashesthefullpotentialoftheNavigator250.Bankinganglesand
poweroutputaresignicantlyincreased,theaccelerationsensorisdeactivated,allowing
fullypilotcontrolledippingandrolling.
Thismodeisdesignedforpilotswhohavefullygainedexperienceandcondencewith
yingtheNavigator250.Itallowsfastpasses,loops,rolls,ipsatthepilot’sownability
sincecontrolfunctionssuchasauto-levellingarecompletelydisabled.
