13. Protect your model
13.1 Safety features
TheNavigator250hasarangeofbuilt-insafetyfeatures,whichprotectthemodelfrom
damageand/orshouldreducepossibledamagetoaminimum.Youcanidentifysomeof
theprotectionmechanismsbyobservingthebehaviouroftheLEDs.
Pleaserefertothetable‘28.Statusindicationtable’onpage36 for an overview of LED
statusesandbuzzerbehaviour.
Thefollowingareindicatedormonitored:

Properlyboundtransmitter

Signalstrength
■
Flightmode
■
Permanentreceptioninterferences(Emergencylandingisinitiatedafterapprox.5s,
motorsareturnedoffautomatically)

Flightbatterycondition(Connectinganon-fullychargedbatterytotheNavigator250
canleadtoundervoltagedetection,thusthemotorswillnotstart.)

13.2 Accident prevention
We strongly advise you to refrain from stunts until you
master the Navigator 250 in normal ying conditions.
Carelessoperationcancauseseriousdamageandinjury.Observethefollowing:

OnlyytheNavigator250outdoorsandduringgoodweatherconditions.
■
DonotytheNavigator250duringadverseweather(rain,snow,strongwinds,etc.).
■
Donotywithouthavingcoveredtheelectronics (canopy (2)). Ensure no moisture
entersthebody.Neverywhenitrains!
■
Keepaclearanceareaofatleast20x20m.
■
DonotytheNavigator250inthevicinityofpeopleandanimals.
13.2.1 Learn from experienced pilots
The best learning experience is provided by pilots who
have experience in ying this type of aircraft.
Werecommend you consult a model craft ight trainer or an experienced model craft
helicopterpilottoprovideyouthenecessaryguidancetogetstartedwiththeNavigator250.
13.3 Emergency stop
Incaseofanemergency,presstheemergency
stop button (left button (24)) at the rear to
immediatelyshutdownallrunningoperations.
