Leaking or damaged batteries can cause acid burns when in contact with skin.
Thereforeusesuitableprotectiveglovestohandlecorruptedandleakingbatteries.

Batteriesmustbe keptoutofthereachofchildren.Do notleavethebatterieslying
around.Thereisariskthatchildrenorpetsmayswallowthem.
■
Allbatteriesshouldbereplacedatthesametime.Mixingoldandnewbatteriescan
leadtobatteryleakageanddevicedamage.
■
Batteriesmustnotbedismantled,short-circuitedorexposedtore.Neverrecharge
non-rechargeablebatteries.Thereisariskofexplosion!

Nevermixregularbatteriesandrechargeablebatteries!
12.5.2 LiPo batteries
After the ight, the LiPo ight battery must be
disconnected from the Navigator 250.
Lithium is a highly reactive chemical element with a
high energy density. In the case of overcharging, the
LiPo rechargeable battery packs might catch re or
even explode. Therefore, LiPo rechargeable battery
packs must always be put on a re-proof surface for
charging and the charging process must be supervised.
In no case must the maximum permissible battery
pack temperature of +60°C be exceeded. Otherwise the
rechargeable battery may explode!
Hazards of LiPo ight batteries

Do not leave the LiPo ight batteryconnected when you do not useit (e.g. during
transportorstorage).Otherwise,theLiPoightbatterymaybefullydischarged.This
woulddestroyitandrenderitunusable!Thereisalsoadangerofmalfunctiondueto
interference.Therotorscouldstartupinadvertentlyandcausedamageorinjury.

RechargeableLiPobatteriesareverysusceptibletomoistureduetothechemicalsthey
contain!Donotexposethemtomoistureorliquids.Riskofexplosion!
■
DonotexposethechargerorLiPoightbatterytohigh/lowtemperaturesortodirect
solarradiation.WhenhandlingLiPobatteries,observethespecialsafetyinformation
ofthebatterymanufacturer!
■
NeverchargetheLiPoightbatteryimmediatelyafteruse.AlwaysleavetheLiPoight
batterytocooloffrst(atleast5-10minutes).
■
Only charge intact and undamaged batteries. If the external insulation of the
rechargeablebatteryisdamagedoriftherechargeablebatteryisdeformedorbloated,
itmustnotbecharged.Inthiscase,thereisimmediatedangerofreandexplosion!
■
NeverdamagetheexteriorofaLiPoightbattery.Nevercutthecoveringfoil.Never
stabanyLiPoightbatterieswithpointedobjects.
■
As the charger and the rechargeable LiPo ight battery both heat up during the
chargingprocedure,it is necessarytoensuresufcient ventilation. Never coverthe
chargerortheLiPoightbattery!Ofcourse,thisalsoappliesforallotherchargersand
rechargeablebatteries.
■
RemovetheLiPoightbatterythatistobechargedfromthemodelandplaceitona
re-proofsupport(e.g.aplate).Keepadistancetoammableobjects.
■
DisconnecttheLiPoightbatteryfromthechargerwhenitisfullycharged.
■
Chargersmayonlybeoperatedindryrooms.ThechargerandtheLiPoightbattery
must not become damp or wet.
■
Never take the rechargeable battery apart! The rechargeable battery may not be
subjectedtoanymechanicalstrain!
■
Thecontactsmaynotbeshort-circuited,asthereisdangerofreandexplosion!
■
Donotexposerechargeablebatteriestore,asthereisariskofexplosion!
■
KeeprechargeableLiPobatteriesawayfromchildren.Storerechargeablebatteriesin
adry,coolplace.
■
Ifarechargeablebatteryisdeformedordamagedduringacrash,itmustnolongerbe
used.Thesameappliesfor“swollen”rechargeablebatteries,orrechargeablebatteries
