 xDrive is an intelligent all-wheel drive
system that varies the torque split between
the front and rear wheels in line with
requirements, for added traction, directional
stability and safety (available on    i,    i,
   i,    d and    d).
 Lights package with reading lights front and
rear, illuminated vanity mirrors, front footwell
lights and soft light function for rear passengers.
Includes exit lights and vicinity lighting integrated
in the exterior door handles. When the doors
are unlocked, this ensures even illumination of
the entry/exit area, for safe and convenient
vehicle entry/exit.
 Xenon Headlights for high and low
beam, incl. headlight washing system, LED
indicators and automatic headlight range
control, provide much better illumination of the
road ahead at night or in poor visibility.
 Adaptive Headlights with variable light
distribution and cornering lights, are
directed into the bend as soon as the vehicle
starts cornering.
 Roof railing, Aluminium satinated:
for an individual look, the flat roof railing is
also available in satinated aluminium.
 Door sill finishers in chrome (six-cylinder
models only) with BMW lettering.
 Chrome Line Exterior comprises door sill
fi nishers and window recess fi nishers for all
four-cylinder models, as well as tailpipe trim for
the    i,    i,    d and    d.
 Rain sensor with automatic driving
lights control: once activated, the rain sensor
will automatically switch on the windscreen
wipers when it begins to rain, adjusting the
wiper frequency in line with rainfall intensity.
The integrated automatic driving lights control
will switch on the low beam automatically at
dusk and in tunnels.
 High-beam assistant supports the driver
at night by automatically switching to low
beam when there is oncoming traffic or
another car ahead, or when the road is
sufficiently illuminated.

Roof railing, black: harmoniously matched
to the vehicle design, provides a flat base for the
multifunctional BMW roof rack, which can be
used for easy and safe transportation of luggage,
bicycles, surfboards etc.

Trailer tow hitch, incl. trailer stability
control, with electric unlocking via a switch in
the luggage compartment. If the trailer hitch is
not needed, it can be folded away mechanically
(not available for BMW    d EfficientDynamics
Edition).
