presents a whole new way to view and select Lowrance features with much smoother moves. This new menu
format is both easy to grasp and thoughtfully functional, so you can fly through keypad functions control with

LOWRANCE BROADBAND RADAR
Networked Radar System
The revolutionary new advanced Broadband Radar is
available for the HDS navigation system, integrating
superior radar performance with state-of-the-art chart-
ing, echosounding and entertainment displays. It pro-
vides amazing target resolution, even at 1/32nm
range. Docks, channel markers, moored vessels and
other targets are displayed with clarity and separation,
for added confidence in close quarters. Broadband
technology also eliminates the "main bang" of a
pulse radar - the obscured "dead zone" immediately
around the vessel - which interferes with close target
detection.
Because Lowrance Broadband Radar transmits at
1/2000th the power of typical pulse radars (emitting
10 times less energy than an average cell phone), the
radome is safe to mount in locations never before
possible. No more waiting 2-3 minutes for a mag-
netron to warm up - 100% solid-state design pro-
vides InstantOn™ capability.

Broadband Sounder
The Lowrance Broadband Sounder
is built into the new HDS series and it allows
them to see fish in, around and through struc-
ture, while operating at high speeds in challeng-
ing conditions, even in extraordinary depths.
When fishing in shallow water, the Lowrance
Broadband Sounder reduces clutter in the water
column and presents a much clearer picture.
It also allows a standard Lowrance 200kHz sin-
gle-frequency transducer to operate at 83kHz,
resulting in a full 120º wide angle coverage. With
a wider scanning area, targets remain in the
cone’s angle for a longer period of time, resulting
in more detailed readings.
It also offers the ultimate in resolution and target
discrimination, resulting in an unparalleled look at
the depths below. Now anglers can find targets in
grass, weed beds and other fish - holding struc-
ture like never before.

Play, it’s easy to install - the LSS-1 imaging transduc-
er is a low-profile, low-drag unit designed for multiple
mounting locations - transom, transom step, jack-
plate, even trolling motors (with a simple,
inexpensive adapter option).
