6.Ensuringthattheboltshaveaminimuminsertion
inthescannerbaseof16mm(0.63in.),and
amaximumof22mm(0.87in.)(allowingfor
washers),securethescannerwiththe4bolts,
atwashersandspringwashersprovided,as
illustrated.Ifnecessary,useappropriateshimsor
extrawasherstolimitthelengthofboltentering
thescannerbase.
7.Tightentheboltstoatorqueof15Nm(133ftlbf).
8.Attachasafetylanyard(notsupplied)toyour
vessel,andsecurethefreeendtothescanner
usingtheattachmentpointshowninthefollowing
illustration:

Scannersshouldbemountedaboveeachother,
verticallyseparatedbyatleast0.5m(1.6ft).This
appliestoallinstallationlocationsonthevessel.
Multiplescannersshouldbemountedinaway
thatminimizesinterferencebetweenthevertical
beamwidthsofthe2scanners.
Inallcases,youshouldaimtoachieveasmuch
physicalseparationaspossible,tominimizeany
potentialinterference.
