ACR RAPIDFIX

406MHz EPIRB with GPS interface

The Rapidfix doesn’t have an internal GPS, instead it has an infrared

optical GPS interface - the fastest means of delivering GPS precision,

and without the need for a direct wired link to the GPS. The

Rapidfix transmits on 406MHz (COSPAS-SARSAT) with your unique

digitally-coded distress signal. Once the Search And Rescue services

are in the vicinity, they can then home in to your precise location

using the 121.5MHz SAR homing frequency.

ACR AQUAFIX I/O and AQUAFIX I

Personal GPS EPIRB/PLB

The AquaFix I/O features both an internal GPS and a

GPS interface, which enables the unit to immediately

transmit your position on activation instead of having to

wait for GPS signal acquisition. The internal GPS can

then continue to update your position, even after having

left the boat. The AquaFix I has all the features of the

I/O model, but without the internal GPS.

One of the biggest fears of all mariners is falling overboard - even in temperate climates your life expectancy is measured in minutes once you’re in the water, so it’s

vital that you’re picked up as quickly as possible. MOBi-lert is the world’s first truly reliable and effective automatic man overboard alarm and recovery system that com-

prises a fixed console and a series of compact “pendant” personal transmitters which can be clipped to wet weather gear. In the event of someone falling overboard,

the alarm is immediately raised and the console gives live position data enabling rapid pickup.
