VCM100powerandgroundingrequirements.
TheVCM100isintendedforuseonships’DCpowersystems
operatingfrom12to24VoltsDC.
•TheVCM100mustbeconnectedtoabatteryisolatorswitch,or
aDCdistributionpanel.
•ThebatteryisolatorswitchorDCdistributionpanelmustbe
connectedtothePOWERINterminalsoftheVCM100.
•DoNOTconnectadditionalpowerswitchestothecableproviding
thepowerfeedtotheVCM100.
•AllpowerconnectionsbetweentheVCM100andthepower
sourcemusthaveappropriatefuseprotection.
•Allpowerconnectionsmustbeofhighqualitytominimize
resistanceandtoremovetheriskofaccidentalshorts.
•TheVCM100SCREENterminalsmustbeconnectedtoyour
vessel’sRFgroundsystem.
•DoNOTconnecttheradarscannerortheVCM100toa
positively-groundedpowersystem.
