Operation Manual

LAYING THE NEXT LOCATION CARD:
After scoring, the last player to lay down a card at the current location
gets to decide where to lay the next location card. However, the new
location card must be laid adjacent to at least one character card that
has already been laid. Laying a card merely at the corner of another
card is not allowed. Also, the new location card must be laid in such
a way that all eight card spaces around the location card have room
on the table. The cards that have already been played may not be
moved to make room for the new location card and its surrounding
card spaces.
All character cards that have already been played that border the
current location card, and which are not covered in the course of the
game, count as points for the next scoring.
