Adafruit Prototyping Pi Plate
The Prototyping Pi Plate by Adafruit is based around the same general principle as Cisecos Slice of Pi. The add-on is provided
in kit form, and offers you a prototyping surface along with easy access to the Pis GPIO pins (see Figure 13-4). Unlike the Slice
of Pi, however, the Prototyping Pi Plate is a full-coverage board built to the same size as the Pi itself. As a result, the plate offers
a much larger area to work with than the Slice of Pi, allowing for larger circuits to be constructed. The Prototyping Plate also
features 3.5 mm screw terminals for connecting the pins, making it easy to use ordinary wire to make strong temporary
connectionsalthough 2.54 mm holes for male or female headers are also provided should you want to use those instead.
