Enable Port Logging
YouneedtoconfigureportloggingafteryouhaveenabledNFSlogging
(see“ConfiguringNFSLogging”below).
ThisfeatureenablesportdatatobeloggedtoaNetworkFileSystem(NFS)
server.Thisallowsyoutosaveandaccessthelogfilesoveranetwork.
NFSsupportsfilesharing,whichmeansyoucanstorethef
ilesonthe
networkthatyouwantotherpeopletoaccess,whilekeepingyoursecure
filesontheDSXunit.NFSstorestheportsessionsasviewedbytheuser,
aswellasaddingmessageswhenauserconnectstoordisconnectsfroma
port.

1. GotothePor
tLoggingpanelandclicktheEnablePortLogging
checkbox.(Toturnthisfeatureoff,clearthischeckbox.)
2. TypetheprefixtotheportdatafileʹsnameontheNFSserverinthe
Prefixfield.
3. TypethemaximumfilesizeallowedintheSizefield.Oncethissizeis
reached,anewfileiscreatedtostoretheportlogdata.Ifyouentera
valueof0,theDSXwi
llno
tcreateanewfile.
4. Typethetimeinterval(inseconds)betweentwotimestampmessages
inthelogfileintheTimestamp(Interval)field.Ifyouenteravalueof
0,thiswilldisabletimestampsinthelogfile.Themaximumvalueis
99999.Thisfieldisoption
