12.10 LAYING UNCUT GRASS ______________________________________________
NOTE: Arrow indicates direction of travel.
Areas of grass has been left uncut, and lays flat.
Probable Cause Remedy
Mowing (ground) speed is too fast. Reduce mowing (ground) speed.
HOC set close to the actual grass height Reduce HOC.
Too much material to clear rear of unit, brought
round the unit pushing over the grass.
Reduce mowing (ground) speed.
Lot of dead damp grass wrapped on the front of the
flail cutting edges, beating the grass down.
Cut when grass is less wet or sharpen the flail
blades
Mower folding grass prior to cutting. Adjust mounting head to open front of mower.
Grass always cut in same direction Cut grass in opposite direction
