8 MAINTENANCE & LUBRICATION

8.6 CUTTING UNIT: WEEKLY OR EVERY 40 WORKING HOURS. ________________

1. Lubricate the cutting unit with Shell Darina R2 grease:

Refer to the Lubrication Diagram section 5.2.

(a) Cutting unit pivot bar housing. (A)

(b) Cutting cylinder bearing and housing pivots. (B)

(d) Front (Not Shown) and Rear rolls, rotate the roll

continuously during lubrication. (D)

2. Lubricate the following using Rocol Anti-Seize:

(a) Cutting cylinder clamp pivot. (E)

(b) Cutting cylinder adjusting screws. (F)

NOTE: When washing machine with pressure spray

washers or steam cleaners, avoid washing bearing areas

because cleaning solutions might penetrate bearing seals

and cause premature bearing failure.
