Rear Panel
1 . Power LED: This LED will illuminate
if
the Zone Pager is receiving power
to
the Pager Port.
2. Comm LED: This LED will illuminate
if
the Zone Pager data communication
is working properly.
3. Audio RX LED: This LED will
illuminate if the Zone Pager receiver is
working properly.
4. Audio
TX
LED: This LED will illuminate if the Zone Pager transmitter is working properly.
5. Pager Port: Connect a Rane Zonetech
or
Terminal 1010x
to
this port using a shielded
Cat
Se
or
Cat 6 cable for power, communication, and audio transmission.
Operation
Zone Pager Operation with Zonetech
When using Zone Pager with Zonetech, the operation is plug-and-play. The paging is zone
based, with one button
for
each
of
the 6 zones, one button for Page All, one button
for
Group
1, and one button for Group 2.
To assign which zones are
in
Group
1:
1 . Select the desired Zones.
2.
Press and hold the Group 1 button until
it
flashes.
To assign which zones are in Group
2:
1 . Select the desired Zones.
2. Press and hold the Group 2 button until
it
flashes.
Zone Pager includes a dynamic microphone. The mic input is set
to
Dynamic mode
by
default.
Zonetech's front panel
or
web
controls can select between Condenser and Dynamic input
modes.
The Page button can be set
to
either Toggle
or
Momentary mode using Zonetech's web
controls. When set
to
Toggle, press and release the Page button
to
page; press and release
the Page button again when paging is finished. When set
to
Momentary, press and continue
to
hold the Page button while paging; release the Page button once paging is finished.
Zone Pager Operation with Halogen
The Halogen software supports setting Zone Pager's mic input for either dynamic
or
condenser mic operation. Halogen also supports momentary
or
toggle operation with Zone
Pager's Page button.
Since Halogen is Scenario based (not Zone based), you can define up
to
9 Scenarios
for
Zone
Pager. Each Scenario can have one
or
more Zones associated with it. All nine selection
buttons (Zone 1-6, Page All, Group 1, and Group
2)
are used
to
select 1
of
9 Scenarios. It is
not possible
to
dynamically combine Scenarios using the Group buttons on Zone Pager.
In
Halogen, the first six Scenarios can be set for Zones 1-6. Scenarios addressed wi
th
the Page
All button can have all Zones in it.
Up
to
two
custom Groups can be set
up
in Halogen.
