Display Description Cause Remedy
Battery cannot be recharged a) Ambient temperature too high or too low. a) Youcanchargethebatteryatambienttemperaturesofbetween0˚Cand40˚C.
b) Damaged battery.
b) Damaged batteries must not be charged or used for any other purpose. Please ask your
DCW/RU dealer; the battery may have to be replaced.
c) Battery charger faulty. c) Have the battery charger checked out by your DCW/RU dealer; the battery charger may have to
be replaced.
Battery is damaged Accident/fall with pedelec or the battery has
been dropped.
Damaged batteries must not be charged or used for any other purpose. Please ask your

Battery does not "wake up"
from sleep mode

The charger is faulty. Unplug the charger from the mains immediately. If the problem reoccurs, a new battery
charger is required.
Battery charger type 1, 2 and 4

Unplug the charger from the mains immediately. If the problem reoccurs, a new battery
charger is required.
Battery charger type 2 and 4: Remove the battery, connect the battery charger to the mains.

dealer. The battery may have to be replaced.
