3.4 Adjusting the height and angle of the handlebars
DANGER
Ask your DCW/RU dealer to do this, otherwise there is a risk of the
handlebars loosening, leading to falls and serious injuries.
3.5 Switchingthelightingon/o

A slider control is located on the rear of the front light. Depending on
whichwayyoumoveit,thefrontandrearlightwillbeonorowhenyou
are riding.
3.6 Braking
Make sure that you can always reach the brakes comfortably and that you
are familiar with their operation and position. Note which brake lever
operatesthefrontandrearbrakes.Ifyourpedelecisttedwithaback
pedal or coaster brake you can operate it by pedalling backwards.

Practisebrakinginasafeplacebeforeventuringintotrac.The
braking action may be stronger or weaker than you are used to.
Serious accidents can happen if you do not familiarise yourself with
thebrakingaction.Practiseuntilyoufeelcondentenough.Dismount
if you are unsure about a situation.
Rim brake
Rim brakes: Avoid continuous braking on long
downhill stretches. It can lead to a loss in
braking power and/or damage to the tyres.
Brake intermittently with intervals in between to
allowtheairowtocoolthebrakingsystem.If
necessary, make regular stops to ensure adequate
cooling.
Replace the brake pads when they
reach the safe wear limit. The use of worn brake pads can lead to
serious injuries with fatal consequences.
CAUTION
Disc brake
Disc brakes: Avoid touching the brake discs
after intensive use of the brakes: they can
become very hot. You could burn yourself if
you touch them.
