ingthechimneyandconnectingfluepipewhereitisnotintendedforthe
chimneytobesweptthroug htheappliance.
ChimneyFires
Ifthechimneyisthoroughlyandregularlyswept,chimneyfiresshouldnotoccur.
However,ifachimneyfiredoesoccurturnoffthestoveimmediatelyandisolatethemains
electricitysupply(ifapplicable),andtightlyclosethedoorsofthestove.Thisshouldcause
thechimneyfiretogoout.Ifthechimneyfiredoesnotgooutwhentheaboveactionis
takenthenthefirebrigadeshouldbecalledimmediately.Donotrelightthestoveuntilthe
chimneyandfluewayshavebeencleanedandexaminedbya
professional.
