9.14 Message status modification +WMSC
9.14.1 Description
This commands allow the manipulation of a message status. The accepted status changes are from READ
to NOT READ and vice versa, and from SENT to NOT SENT and vice versa.
NOTE:
At present, the product only support the status change from NOT READ to READ.
Syntax:
Command syntax : AT+WMSC= <loc>, <status>
Command Possible responses
AT+WMSC=25,1 OK
Note: the status change from NOT READ to
READ.
AT+WMSC=51,1 +CMS ERROR: 321
Note: If <loc> is invalid or free
AT+WMSC=10,1 +CMS ERROR: 302
Note: If the new <status> and the previous one
are incompatible.

If all the parameters are correct, the product overwrites the whole SMS in SIM. Only the first byte (Status
