To store the event log, first define the IP address, subnet mask, default
gateway and trap address of the management PC, see
Chapter 4 for
details.
Note
Alarms (traps) are displayed in the Event Log in the lower panel of the
Main Menu screen. The alarm log is saved as a TXT file.
The event log includes the following fields:
• Sequential number (ID)
• Date and time stamp
• Message
• Trap source
• IP address of the ODU that initiated alarm.
