2.5 Installation Sequence
The WinLink 1000 system installation is achieved by following the
steps listed below. Each step is detailed in the following sections of
this manual:
1. Mounting ODUs at both sites of the link.
2. Assembling the ODU cable and connecting ODU to IDU or O-PoE at
both sites.
3. Connecting the power.
4. Aligning the ODUs.
5. Installing the management program on the network management
station.
6. Running the Installation wizard from the management program.
7. Connecting user equipment to the local and remote IDUs.
Figure 2-1 illustrates a typical installation of WinLink 1000 with an
external antenna.
