Introduction
1.1 Overview
WinLink 1000 is a carrier-class, high capacity, Point-to-Point
broadband wireless transmission system. WinLink 1000 combines
legacy TDM and Ethernet services over 2.3 to 2.7 and 4.0 to 5.9 GHz
bands, and is suitable for deployment in FCC, ETSI, CSA-regulated
countries, and other regions. The system provides up to 48 Mbps
wireless link and supports ranges of up to 80 km (50 miles) with an
external antenna.
The screens shown in this manual are for version 1.700. For WinLink
1000 systems with earlier ODU hardware versions contact technical
support, [e-mail], for the relevant manual.
Application
TFigure 1-1T illustrates a typical point-to-point application of two
WinLink 1000 units.
