Procedure
Step 1
Press and select one of the following from the IP Address Mode list:
•
Automatic: (Default) Select this option if the system gets its IP address automatically
(using DCHP).
The IP address, SubNet mask, Gateway, and DNS fields appear as read-only. See Table
5-4 on page 59 for a description of these fields.
•
Manual: Select this option if you require a static public IP address. This is required, for
example, if the XT5000 Series is connected directly to the Internet, without any address
translation. Enter the fields as described in Table 5-4 on page 59.

Step 2
If you selected Manual, configure the following, as instructed by the system administrator:
