Before you begin
If configuring from the endpoint, you must first enable advanced configuration, as described in
Maintaining the XT Endpoint Locally from the Endpoint on page 66.
To encrypt SIP calls using SRTP, you must also secure communication between your video network
devices using TLS certificates and enable encryption (see Securing Connections to the XT Endpoint
Using TLS on page 131). If TLS is not enabled, only SIP calls to other XT Endpoint endpoints are
encrypted, using a proprietary encryption protocol.
Procedure
1. Access the security settings as follows:

From the XT Endpoint web interface, select Administrator Settings > Calls >
Encryption.
•
From the endpoint's main menu, select Configure > Advanced > Calls > Encryption.

2. Select Yes from the Enable encryption field.
3. Set the fields as described in Table 39: Configuring settings for securing calls on page 142.
