Perform the test in the lowest livable
area of the house. The location must
be at least 3 feet from any door or
window, 12 inches from exterior wall,
2 - 5 feet from the oor or ceiling,
and 4 inches from other objects.
2 ft.
5 ft.
CHOOSE A TEST LOCATION
If you are testing for a real estate
transaction, place 2 devices side by
side, 4 inches apart.
Where to NOT Test:
Kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms,
closets, crawlspaces, or any area
with humidity over 80%.
Don’t place the device on stone
surfaces or directly under blowing air.
Every space is different,
but in general, deploy the
kit at eye level to knee level;
avoid drafts, moisture, and
direct sunlight.
TESTING INSTRUCTIONS
Start the test before the expiration date on the device.
The test duration is 2
-
4 days (48
-
96 hours).
Unusual weather conditions affect test results. Do not
perform the test during sustained high winds, heavy
rain or extreme indoor conditions of heat, cold or
humidity. Short term tests should not be placed in
areas of high humidity. If humidity is unavoidable, tests
placed in humid areas should not be exposed for more
than 48 hours (2 days). A longer test duration may
invalidate results.
Closed Building Conditions
• Close all exterior doors and windows in the house
and keep them closed except for normal entry and
exit, as if it is winter.
• Air conditioners should be set to auto or recirculate.
• These conditions must be maintained 12 hours
before and during the entire test.
• The temperature of the area being tested should be
between 50-85°F.

deliveries. Contact AccuStar for return shipping
labels at reduced prices. AccuStar is not responsible
