Update the RTM MMC firmware
Updatethefirmwareusingrsys‐ipmitoolandthe*.hpmfirmwareimage.
1. Runrsys‐ipmitoolwiththefollowingsyntax:

2. Thetoolmaywarnaboutthepossibilityofservicesbeinginterruptedduringtheupgrade
process,althoughmostoftentheywillnotbe.Enterytocontinue.
Componentsareskippedifthetooldeterminestheyarealreadyuptodate.Thisis
especiallyimportantforthebootloader.Ifthefirmwareisresetorlosespowerwhile
updatingthebootloader,themodulemayneedtobereturnedtothefactory .

Enterhelponthermcpta commandlineforalistofavailablecommands.
BeforeupdatingthedeviceFRUdata,thecurrentdataissavedtothefilebackup.bin,which
canbeusedtorecovertheinformation.
Duringtheupdateprocess,youmaybepromptedforinputtoresolvedifferencesinformat
betweentheoldandnewFRUdata.Youmayalsoreceiveawarningiftheupda tefiledoesnot
matchthetargeteddevicetopreventitfrombeingupdatedwithincorrectda ta.Usethe
