Updating the SAS firmware for ATCA-4580
ThesasflashutilityupdatestheLSISASfirmwarefortheATCA‐4580CPM.Thesasflashutility
mustbeacquiredfromRadisyssupportforusewiththeLinuxOS.
FollowthesestepstoupdatetheLSISASontheCPM:
1. ContactRadisysSupporttogetthecorrectversionofsasFlashLinuxp16.zip.
2. DecompresssasFlashLinuxp16.zip,maintainingthedirectorystructurecontainedinthe
ZIPfile.
3. Thefollowing applicationandfilesarenecessaryfortheupdateintheLinuxenvironment:
• sasflashfromthedecompressedsasflash_linux_i686_x86‐64_reldirectory
• YOUR_FW.FW
• mptsas.rom
Note:FilesYOUR_FW.FWandmptsas.romarelocatedintheATCA‐4580CPMbundleonthe
Promentumsoftwa rereleasemedia.
4. BoottheCPMtoLinux.
5. EnterthiscommandinLinuxtoupdatetheSASfirmwareandBIOSimage:
sasflash‐o‐f<FWfile>‐b<MPTBIOSfile>
<FWfile>isYOUR_FW.FW,and<MPTBIOSfile>ismptsas.rom.
6. Thefollowing promptmayappearifanolderversionoftheLSIfirmwareisbeing
upgraded:
