Updating the BIOS from EFI shell
1. CopyAFUEFIx64.efi,ME_BIOS.bin,update.nsh,andupdateme.nshtoaUSBflashdriveand
bootintotheEFIshell.Thefilesarelocatedinthefirmware/biosfolderoftheoperating
systemupdatebundle.
2. SwitchtothefilesystemontheUSBflashdrive(usuallyfs0:).

3. Runtheupdate.nshbatchfileorexecutethe followingcommandtoupdatetheBIOSon
onebank:
AFUEFIx64.efiME_BIOS.bin/p/b/x
4. ReboottheCPM.
5. Runtheupdateme.nshbatchfileorexecutethefollowingcommandtoupdateoneofthe
ManagementEngineoperationalimages(twoimagesarelocatedinthesameflashpart,
butatdifferentpartitions):
AFUEFIx64.efiME_BIOS.bin/opr
6. PowerdownthesystemtotheM1stateandthenpoweritupagain.
7. (Optional)BoottheCPMtothealternatebankifyouwantbothbanksontheCPM
updated.Ifyouonly needtheactivebankupdated,youcanskipthefollowingsteps.
8. Runtheupdate.nshbatchfileorexecutethe followingcommandtoupdatetheBIOSon
thealternatebank.
AFUEFIx64.efiME_BIOS.bin/p/b/x
9. ReboottheCPM.
10. Runtheupdateme.nshbatchfileorexecutethefollowingcommandtoupdatethesecond
ManagementEngineoperationalimage:

11. PowerdownthesystemtotheM1stateandthenpoweritupagain.
12. EntertheBIOSconfigurationandverifythatbothbankshavetheproperBIOSand
ManagementEngineerver sions.
