Reverting to backup firmware
Usethisprocedureonlyifyouneedtoreverttothebackupfirmwareversionstoredonthe
MMC.Afterperformingtheprocedure,youwillnotbeabletorunthenewversionag ainuntil
afullupgradeiscompleted.
Enterthiscommand:

Updating AMC or RTM FRU data
Usethe rmcptautilitytoupdatetheAMCortheRTMFRUdata.Enterhelponthermcpta
commandlineforalistofavailablecommands.
UpdatetheAMCorRTMFRUdatabyenteringthefollowingcommands:
1. rmcpta‐h<shelfIPaddress>
2. targetfwd<carrierIPMBaddress><AMCorRTMIPMB‐Laddress>
3. updatefru<FRUupdatefile>backup.bin
TheupdatefrucommandsavesthecurrentFRUdatatothebackup.binfile,andthen
proceedstoupdatethedeviceFRUdata.Thebackup.binfilecanbeusedtorecoverFRU
dataifnecessary.
WhenupdatingtheFRUdata,thermcptautilitymaypromptforinputtoresolve
differencesinformatbetweentheoldandthenewdata.Theutilitymayalsowarnifthe
updatefiledoesnotmatchthetargeteddevicetopreventthedevicefrombeingupdated
withincorrectdata.Youcanusethe‐‐autooptiontoavoidsuchprompts.
