Updating the IPMI firmware
TheIPMIfirmwareforanRTMorAMCisupdatedusingrsys‐ipmitool.UpdatetheAMCor
RTMIPMIfirmwarebyfollowingthesesteps:
1. AccesstheLinuxorWindowscommandprompt.
2. ChangedirectorytothelocationoftheextractedAMCorRTMfirmwareimagesandtools.
3. Determinethefollowing:
•IPaddressoftheShelfManager(notnecessaryiftheOpenIPMIdriverisused)
•IPMBaddressofthemodulewheretheAMCisinstalled,orthemoduleassociated
withtheRTM(notnecessaryifupgradingfromthelocalLMPorCPUoverOpenIPMI)
•IPMB‐LaddressoftheAMCorRTM
