IPMI-Over-LAN
AremotemanagementapplicationcanestablishanIPMI‐over‐LANsessionwiththeIPMC.The
IPMCisremotelyaccessi blethroughtheBaseEthernetports.TheCPMimplementsIPMI‐
over‐LANusingRMCPandRMCP+asdescribedintheIPMI2.0specification.TheIPMI‐over‐
LANsessioncanbe usedtoenablethefunctionalitydescribedinSerial‐Over‐LANonpage 65.
Configuring IPMI-over-LAN access
TheCPMmustbeinitiallyconfiguredtomakeIPMI‐over‐LANaccessavailable.TheIPMCsaves
theconfigurationchangesinnon‐volatileRAMsotheyarenotlostduringreboots,hot‐swaps,
orfirmwareupdates.
