IPMI-Over-LAN
AremotemanagementapplicationcanestablishanIPMIoverLANsessionwiththeIPMC.The
IPMCisremotelyaccessi blethroughtheBaseEthernetports.TheCPMimplementsIPMI
overLANusingRMCPandRMCP+asdescribedintheIPMI2.0specification.TheIPMIover
LANsessioncanbe usedtoenablethefunctionalitydescribedinSerialOverLANonpage 65.
Configuring IPMI-over-LAN access
TheCPMmustbeinitiallyconfiguredtomakeIPMIoverLANaccessavailable.TheIPMCsaves
theconfigurationchangesinnonvolatileRAMsotheyarenotlostduringreboots,hotswaps,
orfirmwareupdates.
