•ByaremotelogintotheCPMoverEthernet.Thesessionislostwhen
theCPMreboots.
TheBIOSsetupmenuscannotbeaccessedandthebootupmessagescannotbeviewed.
UpgradesoftheIPMCandIPMCEEPROMcanalternativelybeperformedfromaremote
computer’sCPU:
•ByspecifyingtheShelfManagerIPaddressandtheCPM’sIPMBaddressintheupgrade
commands.
•ByspecifyingtheCPM’sBaseinterfaceIPaddressintheupgradecommands.Thismethod
isavailablewhenaccesstotheIPMChasbeenconfiguredasdescribedinIPMI‐Over‐LAN
onpage 63.
Instructionsforupgradingallofthecomponentsareincludedwiththeupgradeimagethatis
availablefromtheRadisysWebsiteorfromRadisysTechnicalSupport.Inallcases,alinkin
theReleaseNotespointstoaseparateFirmwareandSoftwareUpdateInstructionsmanual
thatprovidesgeneralupdateinstructions.
