low/highrangeoutput,nottheactuallinkspeed.
Reset and hot swap switches
TheCPMfrontpanelResetbutton(switch)isrecessedandcannormallybepressedonlywith
athin,pointedobjectsuchasapencilorstylus.AcalloutinFigure 2pointsouttheReset
buttonontheCPMfrontpanel.TheResetbuttonperformsaplatformresetoftheCPM.A
platformresetreturnsallregistersanddevices(excepttheIPMC)totheir defaultstate.
Theejectorlatchesandthumbscrewsareconsideredhotswaphardwarecomponents.Both
thumbscrewsmustbeunscrewedinordertoremovetheCPMfromitsslot.Thebottomlock
andejectorswitchmustbedisengagedinordertosignaltotheIPMCthataCPMhotswapis
desired.TheIPMCthencontrolsthehotswapLEDandmonitorstheprocess.
