Onboard switches
TherearetwoswitchesontheCPM,bothonthefrontpanel,asfollow:
•Theresetswitch
•Thehotswapejectswitch
Therecessedresetpushbutton(SW1)islocatedinthelowerhalfofthefrontpanel,just
abovetheBase/FabricchannelStatusLEDs(seeFigure 2onpage 17).
Thehotswapejectswitchisconnectedtothelowerbladelatchassembly.Whenthelatchis
opened,itcausestheswitchtosignaltotheIPMCthatahotswapofthebladeisdesired.The
IPMCmonitorstheprocessandcontrolsthefrontpanelH/SLEDstatus.WhentheH/SLED
turnssteadyblue,thetopandbottomlatchescanthenbeusedtoejectthebladesoitcanbe
replaced.RefertoTable 2onpage 19fordetailsontheH/SLEDstatus.
Onboard headers
ThereareseveralCPMonboardheaders,butonlytheCustomerheader(P2)isavailable
duringnormaloperation.RefertoFigure 3onpage 18forthelocationoftheCustomer
header.InordertogainaccesstotheCustomerheader,youwillfirstneedtoremovetheCPM
fromitsslot(seeRemovingtheCPMonpage 71),andthenremovetheCPMcover(see
RemovingtheCPMboardcoveronpage 72).Table 49liststheheaderpinpairsandtheactions
associatedwithaninstalledjumper.
