D6600 NetCom System Guide

1.0 Introduction

This manual covers the installation, operation and programming of a D6600 NetCom Network Communications

System.

References will be made to the Radionics 9000 Series, which include the D9412, D9112, D7412 and D7212

Control/Communicators.

1.1 Manual Organization

This manual is divided into ten sections. A summary of each section is detailed in the table below.

2 D6600 NetCom Overview – provides an overview of the NetCom system, installation

instructions for the D6600 Receiver/Gateway, optional D6672 Serial Com 1 Expansion Kit

and the host computer.

3 D6680 Network Adapter Configuration – provides configuration, programming and IP

address assignment instructions for the D6680 Network Adapters.

4 D6200 Programming/Administration Software Overview – provides overview,

programming, editing, communication and administration instructions for the D6200 software.

Tools for Radionics D6600 NetCom Diagnostics – provides explanation of utility

commands used to verify IP Addresses.

9 Special Radionics D6600 NetCom Applications – using a network to emulate a direct

connection between two COM ports.

10 UL Compliance Installation – lists the documents to reference when installing to comply

with UL.
