PREPARE THE HANDHELD RECEIVER
You must complete these steps prior to using this device for the first time.
TO INSTALL OR CHANGE THE BATTERY IN THE HANDHELD RECEIVER:
1. Using a coin, open the battery cover by turning the screw anti-clockwise.
Use a coin or similar item to open the battery cover. Be careful
with a screwdriver, as excessive force may damage the threads.
2. Remove the spent battery by pulling up the rubber flap. Be sure to recycle or properly dispose of
the spent batteries.
3. Place the new battery in the battery slot correctly aligned with the negative (-) and
positive (+) markings.
Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used
batteries according to the instructions.
4. Carefully fit the battery cover and tighten the screw by turning it clockwise with a coin until it is firmly
in place.
Do not replace batteries or turn off the handheld receiver when the dog is in the field
with the collar transmitter as the pairing to the collar will be lost. If the collar transmitter
is in use, you have one minute to change the receiver’s battery without breaking the
pairing to the handheld receiver.
Note: For best performance, do not use rechargeable batteries. Always use new batteries. The handheld receiver
requires one (1) CR123 battery.
TO TURN THE HANDHELD RECEIVER ON:
Press and hold the ON/OFF button until the Signal Strength Indicator lights from bottom to top. The handheld
receiver will beep twice and the Power/Standby Indicator light will start blinking.
