2. Slide down the battery
compartment cover and remove
the cover.
3. Set CHARGE ON/OFF inside the
battery compartment to
OFF (to
use alkaline batteries) or to
ON (to
charge Ni-MH or Ni-Cd
rechargeable batteries) when
charging the batteries through the
6V DC jack on the bottom of the
radio.

4. Install four AAA batteries
according to the polarity symbols
(+ and –) marked inside the battery
compartment.
5. Replace the cover and push the
latch up until it clicks. Then rotate
VOL/OFF counterclockwise until it
clicks to turn on the radio.

• Dispose of old
batteries promptly
and properly.

• If you do not plan to
use the radios for a
month or more,
remove the batteries
