4)  If the new fan does not have a heat-
sink attached, remove the four Philips
screws from the existing fan, and
transfer the heat sink to the new fan.
Align the fan and heat sink carefully,
and tighten the four screws.
5)  Screw the new fan/sink assembly
into the socket on the
motherboard. Do not over-tighten!
6)  Plug the intermediate and main connectors back into the appropriate sockets. Note:
the plugs and sockets are indexed, and cannot be plugged in backwards.
7)  Replace the modem.
8)  Turn on power to the F-6100, and visually confirm that the cooling fan is spinning.
