INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Safety Points
Radimo Defogger is designed to be used as a bathroom mirror defogger only. Install in accordance with these
instructions. Any other use is not recommended.
Installation is not difficult and conforms to standard industry practice. Remember to disconnect the power
before installation.
The heating element of the mirror defogger should never be cut or damaged as it cannot be repaired. However
you may trim the product as long as the actual heating element is NOT damaged, which is common for
Radimo round series. Round defoggers can trimmed, but not closer than 3/4 inch from the electrical heating
component.
The power supply cable of the defogger should not be pulled or drawn forcefully.
Fitting the defogger to the mirror
1. Adhere the heating pad to the back of the mirror, NOT to the wall.
2. Always handle mirrors with care. Lay the mirror face down on a protective cushion/surface. The back of the
mirror must be absolutely clean, dry and grease free.
3. Peel off the protection paper first (about 4in width), fold the paper and fit the adhesive part directly onto
the back of the mirror, using a ruler or your hand. As you go, rip off the protection paper to stick the
defogger completely onto the mirror. Ensure that there are no air bubbles trapped and that the heating pad
is positioned where you want.
Electrical Installation Information
4. Connect the wires of the defogger to the power alimentation following electric codes. All connections must
be made in an electrical box.
5. The power supply cable may be conveniently taken from the lighting circuit. We always recommend our
heating pads to be switched with bathroom lights so that it comes on and off with the lights.
6. Fix the mirror onto the wall as per the manufacturer’s instructions. If not against drywall, ensure that a gap
is left between the heating pad and brick, tile or cement walls to avoid heat transfer away from the mirror.
7. Switch on the light and test the mirror about 3-5 minutes, the mirror becomes warm and starts defogging.
