Operatingmode
Therearetherethreeoperatingmodesintheunit:
«MONITORING»,«BACKGROUND»and«MENU».
The«MONITORING»modeissetautomaticallyatstart
ofunitsfunctioning.Thismodegivesestimationofadoserate
andindicationsoutputtotheLCD.
Thebutton«ina«MONITORING»mode
(page8),fulfillthefunctionofturningon/offabacklightof
display.Ashort-termclickonitswitchesonabacklightfor2sIt
allowsseeingindicationsinatwilightordarkness.The
importanceofabacklightisnotremarkableduringabright
illumination.
Note.Itisimportanttorememberthatafrequent
switchingofabacklightshortensstronglythetimeof
continuousoperationofthedevice.
The«BACKGROUND»mode(page30)switchesonin
«BACKGROUND»section(page20)in«MENU»mode.Just
asin«MONITORING»modethismodeperformsestimation
ofadoseratebutitgivesouttwoindicationssimultaneously:
adifferencebetweenadoserateofanaverageindicationand
ofbackground,i.e.theexceedingofadoserateaboveadose
rateofbackgroundandadditionallyavalueofadoserateof
background.Thismodeisconvenientforexamining
premises,whenitisimportanttoknowthedifferencebetween
indicationsindoorsandthoseonanopenairandhow
determinecorrectlyavalueofadoserateoutdoors.
«MENU»modeturnsonbyclickingabutton«
(page8)incasealteringofafactorysetupisneeded.Ina
«MENU»modetheestimationofaratedoseisnot
conducting.
