The DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug can be used to integrate and control
one electrical appliance (e.g. lighting) within a DuoFern radio network.
Many of the functions provided by the DuoFern transmitter (e.g.
HomePilot® or DuoFern manual central operating unit) can thereby
be used.

Only use the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug for connecting and controlling
electrical appliances (e.g. lighting etc.) up to the stated total power level
(Technical Specifications).
Operating conditions
◆ Only operate the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug in dry rooms.
◆ Only use with 230 V / 50 Hz mains sockets.
◆ The installation and operation of the DuoFern radio system and its
components (e.g. DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug) is only permitted for
those systems and devices where a malfunction in the transmitter or
receiver would not cause a danger to personnel or property or where
this risk is already covered by other safety equipment.

Radio systems that transmit on the same frequency
can cause interference. .
3. Improper use
Using the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug for any other purpose than previously
mentioned is not permissible.

The DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug has two switching modes (unit and light
mode) with which you can control electrical appliances.
You can switch between the two switching modes using the relevant DuoF-
ern transmitter (e.g. HomePilot® etc.). To do so, please read the operating
instructions for the respective DuoFern transmitter.
Factory setting = Unit mode
The following table shows the reactions of the DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug to the switching commands from a DuoFern trans-

Even when the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug is switched
off, the plugged in electrical appliance is not complete-
ly (galvanically) disconnected from the mains power
supply.
◆ The DuoFern Adapter Plug must be easily accessible in
the case of danger.
◆ Pull the unit from the socket or DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug before undertaking all work on the
electrical appliance.
Improper use can lead to serious property damage.
◆ Train all personnel to use the DuoFern adapter plug
safely.
◆ Never plug in several DuoFern Adapter Plugs in a row.
◆ Children must not play with the device.

◆ Never use the radio system (e.g. DuoFern radio system)
and its components for the remote control of devices
and systems with increased safety-relevant require-
ments or where there is an increased risk of accidents.
Such applications require additional safety equipment.
Observe the respective statutory regulations for the
installation of such systems.
There is a risk of fatal injury caused by short circuit-
ing and electric shocks if the DuoFern Switch Adapter
Plug is used outdoors or in damp rooms..
