Cryptoguard
Rolling code technology provides billions of code
combinations and makes every manual transmitter
unique, thereby protecting against unauthorised
access.
8. Functional description
Alarm unit
The alarm sounds when the door is left open for longer
than 10 minutes. The alarm stops when the door is
closed again (refer to "Alarm settings" on page 67).
Emergency release
The door can be manually operated by pulling down
on the emergency release cable in the event of power
failure.
Automatic closing function
The automatic closing time of the door can be set from
30 to 240 seconds, please refer to page 67 / 68.
2000-cycle alarm
When the drive has run 2000 cycles, it will beep to
remind the user to service the mechanical system,
please refer to page 68.
The RolloPort SX5 DuoFern is a electronic garage door
driver suitable for use with all standard up-and-over
and sectional doors (see page 49).
Flexible installation options
The 90° rotatable drive unit offers flexible installation
options. The quiet-operation belt drive provides secure
power transmission.
Extensive convenience functions
The RolloPort SX5 DuoFern offer extensive convenience
functions (see chap. 8.1) for individual customisation
on-site.
Both garage door drives are equipped with an obstacle
detection system including reversing function and have
an internal emergency release for manual operation in
case of power failure.
Manual control on site
Additionally, an external switch can be connected for
manual control on site.
RolloPort SX5 DuoFern
The RolloPort SX5 DuoFern is designed for use within
a radio network and can be integrated and controlled
with a DuoFern Home Pilot® or other DuoFern con-
trollers.
8.1 Brief description of the convenience functions
The RolloPort SX5 DuoFern must be connected
to the DuoFern network.
In order that the RolloPort SX5 DuoFern can receive
control commands from the DuoFern network, you
must log it in to a DuoFern HomePilot® or another
DuoFern device, see page 72.
To do so, please read the operating instructions for the
respective DuoFern device.
