IR-ETH/Q LED Indicators
Table E-2 lists the IR-ETH/Q LED indicators (see Figure E-3 ) and describes their
functions.

When illuminated (red), the ERR on the board indicates LAN/WAN error.
Installing the Interface Module
 To install LRSI-F-14 into the LRS-24 hub:
1. Insert the LRSI-F-14 module in the upper section of the LRS-24F chassis
above the module, or the back section of LRS-24B.
2. Fasten the screws to secure the module to the LRS-24 frame for good
grounding of the module panel.
E.4 Connections
For IR-ETH/Q card installation either a straight or a cross cable may be required to
connect the LRSI-F-14 DCE-1 (DCE-2) connector to the LAN. Use a cross cable
when connecting to a port that does not implement the crossover function
internally. Otherwise, use a straight cable.
Hubs usually do implement the crossover function internally while NICs and other
devices do not.
Use Table E-3 for the pin assignment of the IR-ETH/Q RJ-45 connector needed
when preparing the LAN cable. For the pin assignment of the LRSI-F-14 line
connector, see
Chapter 2 .
