E.3 Installation and Operation
This section describes:
• IR-ETH/Q Ethernet card installation on the ASMi-52CD modem module
• LRSI-F-14 interface module installation in the LRS-24 hub
For hub installation and operation of the ASMi-52CD module, see
Chapter 2
.
The ASMi-52CD and IR-ETH/Q cards contain components sensitive to electrostatic
discharge (ESD). To prevent ESD damage, do not touch the module components
or connectors.
Installing IR-ETH/Q Card
To install the IR-ETH/Q Ethernet card:
1. Set the DIP switch on the IR-ETH/Q Ethernet card according to
Table E-1
.
2. Press the IR-ETH/Q Ethernet card (with connectors facing down) against the
ASMi-52CD module connectors.
Installing Interface Module
Check that the LRSI-F-14 interface module (or LRSI-B-14), shown in
Figure E-3,
was supplied. The fuses are shown in
Figure E-4
.
