Alarm Type Description
NO MANAGEMENT LINK System Failure of the inband management via the EOC.
NO MODEM PORT (IR) System No digital interface card is installed on the local or remote
modem, or the installed module is not applicable.
PHASOR OVERFLOW EXC System A problem of receive and transmit clock between data channel
and modem PCM clock.
RLB BY DTE System Remote loopback signaling status from the DTE of the remote
standalone ASMi-52.
SELF TEST FAILED System Modem self-test failure was detected.
SNR MARGIN OVER LINE A SHDSL Line A sound-to-noise margin has exceeded the alarm threshold
SNR MARGIN OVER LINE B SHDSL Line B sound-to-noise margin has exceeded the alarm threshold
(4-wire units only)
SOFTWARE DWL IN

STUFFING OVERFLOW EXC System The data line recovery circuits cannot recover the data line
clock.
SYNC LOSS A System Synchronization between modems is lost for line A.

WIRE NOT COMPATIBLE SHDSL Mismatch of line interface types (2/4-wire) between local and
remote units
5.4 Displaying SHDSL Performance Diagnostics
ASMi-52CD has capabilities for collection of SHDSL parameters performance
diagnostics. The statistics are accessed via the RADview SNMP management
parameters tool. The parameters are listed in
Table 5-3,

Display Description
Current ES This parameter provides the number of parameters Errored Seconds in which one or
more CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) error events occurred during the current
interval. This value is updated every second.
Current UAS This parameter provides the number of Unavailable Seconds in which a failed signal
occurred during the current interval. This value is updated every second.
Current SES This parameter provides the number of Severely Errored Seconds in which 832 or
more CRC error events occurred during the current interval. This value is updated
every second.
Current BBE This parameter provides the number of the Errored Block that had not occurred
during the severely errored seconds during the current interval. This value is updated
every second.
