Viewing Alarm Messages from an ASCII Terminal
The MODEM ALARM STATUS screen (
Figure 5-4
) enables viewing messages stored
in the alarm buffer of ASMi-52CD and remote modems. The screen also shows
synchronization loss and DTE loopback signaling states.
To view the ASMi-52CD alarms:
1. From the Main menu, select Alarm Status.
2. Select the ASMi-52CD slot and define the modem which alarms you intend to
view.
The MODEM ALARM STATUS screen shown in
Figure 5-4
appears. This
screen displays the general alarms of ASMi-52CD.
3. To view E1 alarms, change Next Alarm (E1) value to ON and press <Tab> to
display next alarm screen (available only for ASMi-52CD/4 with E1 interface).

4. To view SHDSL line alarms, change Next Alarm (LINE) value to ON and press
<Tab>.
