5-2 Configuration for Diagnostic Tests ASMi-52CD Ver. 1.0
5.2 Configuration for Diagnostic Tests
The ASMi-52CD supports both local analog and remote digital loopbacks as per
ITU V.54 for V.35 and RS-530 interfaces only. The loopback is performed via the
standard pins of the synchronous interface.
To enable loopback tests:
1. From the Main menu, select Modem Diagnostics.
2. Select the ASMi-52CD slot.
The Modem Diagnostics menu shown in
Figure 5-1
appears.
3. Move the cursor to LOCAL LOOPBACK and/or REMOTE LOOPBACK field by
pressing <Tab> and select ENABLE by typing <f> or <b>, and pressing <Tab>
again.
