Chapter 3
Operation
This chapter describes how to configure the ASMi-52CD modem installed in the
LRS-24 hub using an ASCII terminal. It includes sections on:
• Initiating an ASCII terminal session
• Selecting command options
• Configuring the modem.
3.1 Turning On
To turn on ASMi-52CD:
1. Turn on the LRS-24 chassis and the modem on the far end of the line.
2. After power-up, all LEDs turn on for 3 seconds while the CPU initiates the
ASMi-52CD module.
3. After synchronization between the two modems has been achieved, the
ASMi-52CD module assumes the normal state according to the LED
indications in
Table 3-3
.
