Installing the Card in the Chassis
To install the ASMi-52CD card into the LRS-24 chassis:
1. Refer to the system installation plan and insert the ASMi-52CD module in the
assigned I/O slot of the LRS-24 enclosure.
2. Fasten the two front panel screws to secure the module to the LRS-24 frame
for proper grounding.
2.4 Interface Module Installation
Interface Module Inspection
Check that the supplied interface modules meet the physical and electrical
interface requirements of the installation site.
• LRSI-F-5 supports two V.35, RS 530 or X.21 ports, using the appropriate
adapter cable
• LRSI-F-14 supports two IR-ETH (Ethernet bridge) or IR-ETH/Q (Ethernet bridge
with VLAN support) port
• LRSI-F-23 supports two IR-IP (IP router) ports
• LRSI-F-24 supports two balanced E1 ports
• LRSI-F-25 supports two unbalanced E1 ports, using the adapter cable
The interface modules are shown in
Figure 2-3
.
LRSI-F-xx interface modules are placed in the top section of the LRS-24F chassis;
LRSI-B-xx interface modules are placed in the back section of the LRS-24B
chassis.
The Ethernet interface module layout is shown in
Figure 2-4.
The serial interface module layout is shown in
Figure 2-5
.
